Before I start this post I have to say this - don't get me wrong I love blogging for all my readers out there. This isn't a rant about you!
Sometimes working with the Internet can be frustrating. Over the past 3 days my blog has all but disappeared from google causing my visitors to drop back to the loyal few readers (thanks for sticking with me!) from almost 300 average visits daily. I can't for the life of me work out what is going on because I don't use shady tactics to promote the site nor do I use/steal content produced by other people (I write all this stuff myself).
Hopefully things will get back to normal soon because my confidence and enjoyment have taken a bit of a hit and I am looking for some good news!
If anyone is experiencing the same thing or has some advice please leave a comment.
Thanks for putting up with my rant. I promise I will get back to the fishing tomorrow.

200th Post
I really cannot believe that this is already my 200th post. Since I have started posting daily (well almost daily) the time has really flown. The most popular posts since this blog went live are:
- Baitcaster reel casting instruction
- The picture and story behind the great white shark and the kayak
- The biggest catfish ever caught
- 100th post (About those famous sharks pictures)
- Cast net instruction
Tomorrow Dad and I are playing tour guide to some visitors and will spend the morning fishing the harbor from the boat so I am really getting my fishing fix this week.
Before I finish this post I want to say thanks to all my readers for continuing to visit and keeping me motivated to continue with this blog. 300 here I come!

A Sharks Love (100th post)
I really can't believe it - 100 posts already and my interest hasn't wained! I am actually enjoying it more now than when I first started. One of the best things about blogging is the contacts you make and the info for todays post was sent to me by one of these contacts (thanks jon)
Sharks Love
"Arnold Pointer a professional fisherman from south of Australia set free from a certain death a big female White Shark that was caught in his fishing nets. Now the fisherman has a problem: He says: "It's been 2 years and she doesn't leave me alone. She follows me everywhere I go and her presence scares all the fishes. I don't know what to do anymore."
It is hard to get rid of an almost 17 feet long shark since the White Sharks are protected by the wildlife conservation, but a mutual affection established between Arnold and "Cindy".
Arnold Says: "Once I stop the boat she comes to me, she turns on her back and let me pet her belly and neck, she grunts, turn her eyes, and move her fins up and down hitting the water happilly..."
However, even more interesting than the story is the powerpoint presentation to go with it (you can also find the video on youtube.
If you want to have a look the powerpoint can be found here (spyware and virus free):
Download sharks love powerpoint
Or you can watch the video of the same thing right here:
While this story has been proven as a hoax it still has some amazing pictures.

Holidays - (the ultimate fishing blog returns in one week)
Well that time of the year has come again - I am going on holidays. I am not leaving you completely and I will be back in a week, but if you really need an ultimate fishing blog fix I am going to leave you with the most popular posts of 2007.
1. How to cast a baitcaster reel
Yep these are really hard to master and I think that the number of page views to this post really proves that!
2. Fishing Knots and Rigs: Double Uni Knot
This is a great knot and I am glad that this information has been useful.
3. How to throw a cast net video
Almost as hard to master as a baitcaster and I think the amount of page views shows this!
4. Fishing Knots and Rigs: Snell Knot
I get heaps of visitors looking for knots and this is the second most popular.
5. Fishing Knots and Rigs: Bimini Twist
6. Fishing Tackle Review Berkley Gulp
People seem to like the tackle reviews: I have planned more for the future
7. Fishing Bloopers
Everyone likes funny fishing videos right?
I look forward to resuming most posting in a week.
If you have any favorite/memorable posts from this blog you would like to mention feel free to leave a comment.
