Cheap Fishing Gear

If you are a mad keen fisherman (or woman), then you want the best fishing gear available. But, it can be quite pricey if you shop in the wrong stores. Thankfully, there are a few online stores that offer fishing gear at very reasonable prices. In this post, I will tell you just where to find cheap fishing gear. It is possible to save hundreds of dollars every year by finding cheap fishing gear stores online.

For Australians, try the Fishing Tackle Shop to get some of the cheapest fishing gear on the market. They have great deals on tackle, lures, rods, reels, sunglasses, wetsuits and so much more. If you know another fisherman who needs some gear, buy them a gift voucher.

For all the Americans out there, try Fishing Tackle Unlimited. They usually have the best prices of any online store. You can pick up some books, DVD's, shirts, tools, hooks, nets and lights. There is also the usual tackle, lures, rods and reels. You can pay with most major credit cards and have the cheap fishing gear delivered to your door!

If you are after really cheap fishing gear you can check out the new Discount Fishing Tackle Store, which has updated listings from all over the web to ensure you get a bargain.

I stumbled across your blog, and I am quite glad I did. With the way the economy is today, buying new fishing gear is not the first thing on my list. I am in the need for a new rod and reel, and looking at the site you showed I think I will be able to purchase one. I have never purchased fishing equipment from the web, but this seems like a rather smart way to shop for my fishing gear.

how about fly fishing gear?

I have found EBAY to be a great place to shop too. My fly tying bench is almost entirely made up of materials and tools from a craigslist purchase too.

You may want to try your local pawn shop for great deals. I have been able to get lures and tackle for almost nothing, but some of the lures needed a little polishing. If you have the time it can be fun. I have found that it doesn't take much work to have there asking price lowered. So if you are finding rapals for .80 to 1.00 your savings can be great.

I like going to DICKS sporting goods, they have a wide variety of fishing lures and equipment. And there prices ain't to bad. Next in line is Bass Pro Shops, they have the best selection. They're just a long drive for me so I stick with Dicks.

Great tips indeed but keep in mind that sometimes the cheap gear could lead to fishing failure. Pay attention when buying cheap fishing gear.

The Fishing Tackle Shop sounds like a great place to stock up on some good gear for the coming Summer... I can't wait to get out on the water again!

In my experience you always get what you pay for. I'm all for affordable fishing gear, but pay a little more and stick with recognised mainstream brands for better durability and lifespan of your tackle.
